Christy Hemme has posted 2 stunning preview photos on her official Twitter of a new shoot Velvet shot today at Christy’s house. From the 2 preview photos we have it’s going to be another stunning shoot from Velvet, but them again when is it not right? Thank you to WrestlingFigs.com and Wrestling Maven we have 4 photos of Velvet at yesterday’s Wrestling Spectacular appearance in New York. Also, Velvet, Angelina and former Knockouts/Diva Shelly Martinez all uploaded a few photos from the appearance as well. At the event Velvet debuted some new Rated V baseball caps! They were only available for purchase yesterday as of right now, but hopefully we’ll see them online soon to purchase.

Gail Kim vs Knockouts Champion Velvet Sky
They go back and forth until Velvet hits a snap suplex and unloads with some forearms and a bulldog. Velvet hits a flying headscissors and a running forearm in the corner, but Gail goes after Velvet’s bad knee and turns the tide instantly. Gail spends the next several minutes picking Velvet’s leg apart and gets her in a half crab, but Velvet makes the rope. Gail goes to the top and Velvet slams her off, but Gail goes right back to the knee. Gali easily blocks In Your Face, but Velvet gets a quick rollup and gets the fall.

Winner: Velvet Sky
Gail attacks Velvet immediately after the match, drags her to the corner, and gets the ringpost figure four.

Impact Wrestling Results – May 9th, 2013

Tara & Gail Kim vs Mickie James & Knockouts Champion Velvet Sky
Mickie and Gail start us off, Gail quickly gains control and then tags in Tara for a double parachute slam. Tara hangs Mickie in the Tree of Woe and baseball slides her in the face, then stops to make out with Jessie while Gail tags herself in to dish out more punishment to Mickie. Mickie manages to make the tag to Velvet, who comes in and javelins Gail into Jessie and sends both of them flying off the apron, then hits In Your Face on Tara to pick up the win.

Winners: Mickie James & Velvet Sky
Velvet was still selling the bad knee toward the end of the match, so looks like that may become an ongoing angle based off the real injury. Gail is not happy with Tara for losing the match, and she lays Tara out with a short clothesline before dragging her to the corner and putting her in the ringpost figure four.

Velvet Sky vs. Mickie James for the Knockout Championship. I have been in the ring with both of these ladies on more than one occasion. I have said it publically that Mickie James may quite possibly be the toughest opponent I have ever faced in the ring. Velvet, injury and all, went toe to toe with her the entire match though, and ended up pulling off the win. Good for her. If I have to see her pigeons too many more times though, I’m going to throw up. Cool it with the birds, champ!

The most interesting thing to me of the entire week has been the attitude change in Mickie. In her post match interview she calls herself the superior athlete between herself and Velvet, and she basically says her win was a mistake on her part, not skill on Velvet’s. At least that’s what my ears heard. Of course, she’s going to sugar coat it with “I love you Velvet” and “We’re friends” but if you ask me, Mickie is FINALLY realizing that nice guys finish last. Welcome to the dark side, Hardcore Country. I think once you embrace your inner villain (and get rid of the pigtails and daisy dukes, sorry girl, royalty has an image to uphold) we could possibly get along just fine… maybe… one day… probably not today though. But keep it up, spiteful is a good look for you!
